From Serendipity to Structural Social Connection
The video explores the importance of social connections as a form of “currency” that influences access to jobs, opportunity, and community wellbeing. It highlights research showing how many employment opportunities arise through personal networks, and emphasises the need to intentionally design systems that strengthen both the quantity and quality of relationships. The film reflects the RSA’s focus on building kinder, more connected communities through collaboration with place-based organisations and community leaders.
