Inspiring Young People Through Learning at the Horniman Museum

The Horniman Museum commissioned us to produce a flagship museum education video production project to bring their Plastics Challenge learning programme to life and showcase the creativity and curiosity of the young people involved.

Our task was to capture the energy of the workshops, highlight the museum’s commitment to environmental education, and create a film that celebrates how cultural institutions can inspire the next generation through hands-on learning.

What Did the Horniman Museum Want To Achieve?

When the Horniman Museum approached our team, they wanted to create an engaging and authentic museum educational film that demonstrated the impact of their Plastics Challenge — an initiative designed to help school groups explore sustainability, plastic waste, and environmental action.

Their goal was to develop a piece that:

  • Showed the programme in action

  • Celebrated the enthusiasm of participating students

  • Highlighted the educational team’s expertise

  • And showcased the Horniman as a leading destination for creative learning

The final film needed to feel dynamic, inclusive and inspiring — a true reflection of the museum’s mission to connect people with the natural world.

Bringing Museum Learning to Life Through Video

Our team specialises in arts and culture video production that captures the authenticity of workshops, school sessions, and interactive learning environments. For this project, we followed students as they explored the museum’s collections, engaged in hands-on activities, and learned about environmental sustainability through creative challenges.
