Evelina London Children’s Hospital
Putting Families at the Heart
The hospital was responding to a major public consultation by NHS England about the future location and design of specialist children’s cancer services in south London and the South East. The film needed to centre on families, young patients, clinicians and research teams, showing how change is shaped through lived experience and expert insight.
Explaining the Why and the How
The objective was to communicate why service change was proposed and how the hospital planned to make the transition meaningful for children and families. It had to feel clear and honest — helping audiences understand the next steps, how the hospital is preparing and what it means for care.
Capturing Voices and Vision
We interviewed clinicians, researchers and parent‑caregivers, filmed in hospital wards, family‑friendly spaces and research settings. Visual sequences show the hospital environment, teamwork and the human dimension of care. In editing we combined personal narrative with institutional ambition — balancing emotion, clarity and hope.
Focusing on Safety, Expertise and Future Care
Rather than just presenting facts, the film emphasises the hospital’s strengths: integrated children’s services, research excellence and a family‑centred approach. It connects the technical side of service change with what it means for children’s wellbeing, access and continuity of care.
A Film With Purpose
The resulting film helps audiences engage with a complex process. It reinforces that the hospital is committed to quality, safety and research — while being attentive to family needs, travel, accommodation and continuity.
Why Sensitive Healthcare Storytelling Matters
When a film addresses children, cancer services and major changes in care, nuance, tone and trust matter deeply. We specialise in producing content that is respectful, authentic and engaging — ensuring the voice of every stakeholder is heard.
