About Clemence Bartram
Ambitious, resilient and pragmatic, Clem is a director who dreams big and thinks through the detail to make those dreams a reality. From a hands-on filmmaking background, she has spent 15 years in the world of commercial films, directing full time since 2017. Working with a huge range of brands, such as Virgin Media, Qatar Airways, Allianz, Activision, Tesco, M&S, Dell, and many higher education and charity clients, she keeps the purpose of the film at the forefront of the creative. From studio shoots to location filming across the globe – she has filmed in challenging environments and with all sorts of contributors from top sporting celebrities to 8 month old babies to an 100 year old tortoise in Senegal.
Experience has taught her the value of organisation in prep and on set – meaning she doesn’t faze easily and manages curveballs with a cool head. Creating an environment where all involved feel they can contribute their best is an important priority for Clem, whilst managing a clear and consistent set.
Having a clear vision of the final films and understanding their purpose is always the anchoring force of Clem’s work, which means she knows how to take ideas from script to screen and follow through on the original aims of the project.
